Jeff Schwartz concentrates on cross-border mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions involving companies in a wide range of industries including oil and gas, metals and mining, and telecommunications. In addition, he provides advice on general corporate and U.S. securities law matters.

His experience includes representing: Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation in connection with a $1 billion trade finance facility entered into by ENRC Marketing AG and guaranteed by JSC ""TNC ""Kazchrome""; Alfa Overseas Investment Limited in connection with a $200 million secured financing through a repo agreement with Deutsche Bank relating to 3,860,498.983 Class X US Dollar Shares of Pamplona FOF I Limited and the subsequent refinancing by Alfa Overseas Investments Limited of the repo financing through the issuance of $250 million of secured notes to Deutsche Bank; Alfa Group in the $3.3 billion joint venture with the Cukurova Group to hold 27 percent of Turkcell — the largest Russian outbound transaction to date; Alfa Group and Access-Renova Group (AAR) in the formation of TNK-BP, a joint venture with BP plc involving the contribution of oil and gas assets valued at $18 billion, the largest Russian cross-border M&A transaction to date; AAR in the $1.35 billion sale of AAR's 49.5 percent equity interest in Slavneft to TNK-BP; Alfa Group in the $3.7 billion monetization by AAR of their respective rights to future delivery of BP ordinary shares; and OAO LUKOIL in listing on the London Stock Exchange and subsequent offering of Global Depositary Receipts.
