Martin Schulz has extensive experience in the areas of cross-border and domestic M&A transactions, corporate restructurings and general corporate work, joint ventures, and real estate transactions.

Martin has provided legal advice to and has participated in transactions for well-known clients in the chemicals, health care, industrial gases, facility management, construction, and electronics industries. Among other M&A transactions, Martin participated in the €475 million ($604.4 million) sale of Bayer AG's 49.9 percent stake in GE Bayer Silicones GmbH & Co. KG to GE and ultimately Apollo Management L.P., the acquisition of all shares in Combinature Biopharm AG by MerLion Pharmaceuticals Pte. Ltd. in a stock-for-stock merger, the €2.7 bn sale of Messer Griesheim to Air Liquide and the accompanying restructuring, the sale of a large German construction and facility management group to a financial investor, as well as several corporate restructurings.

Prior to joining the Firm's Munich Office, Martin worked for more than five years in the Berlin office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
