Lawyer Overview

Gregory B. Mouroux is a litigation associate with Gilchrist & Rutter. His trial and appellate practice focuses on commercial, business, real estate, employment, and trademark/copyright matters in state and federal court. Before joining Gilchrist & Rutter he worked for a litigation boutique law firm in San Francisco, California. During law school, he externed for the Honorable Yakov Ostrovsky at the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda in Arusha, Tanzania.

Mr. Mouroux received his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law where he was a finalist in the Pepperdine Law School Entertainment Law Moot Court Competition and a member of the University of California Hastings Communications and Entertainment Law Journal (COMM/ENT). He obtained his B.A. cum laude in Communications and Theater Arts from the University of California at San Diego.

Representative Experience:

• Obtained a multi-million dollar settlement representing a New York advertising executive in a case involving a breach of employment contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and estoppel.
• Represented an independent DVD and video distributor in a copyright infringement suit against a multi-million dollar video distributor.
• Obtained a favorable jury verdict against a refrigerator manufacturer in a product liability action involving claims of breach of warranty and negligent repair.
• Lead counsel in successful prosecution of a product liability and breach of warranty action against a hardwood floor manufacturer involving a novel application of the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act.
