Lawyer Overview

Ming-Wei Lo has handled many cases arising under the Securities and Exchanges Act, including civil and criminal ones involving insider trading, misleading or false statements in financial reports, breach of trust, and self-dealing. Ming-Wei's clients are predominantly directors and supervisors of companies listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange. He also has represented partners of an international accounting firm in civil and criminal litigations arising from audits of financial reports.

Ming-Wei has extensive practical experience in the area of administrative law affairs. He has successfully represented clients before the Administrative Supreme Court in overruling an eminent domain and also represented a radio station and a Hong Kong satellite broadcast and television company in chartering disputes before the Taiwan High Administrative Court and helped his clients reacquire the revoked charter and the permission to provide satellite programs.

Ming-Wei serves as legal counsel to a number of multinational enterprises, domestic-listed companies, and government agencies, advising them on a variety of business law issues as well as handling litigations such as investment contract disputes, financing disputes, trust agreements, real estate litigation, and labor disputes.

Ming-Wei has recently given speeches on white-collar crimes, misleading or false statements in financial reports, and directors and supervisors liabilities for organizations such as the Corporate Governance Association in Taiwan, the Securities and Futures Institute, the Association of Industries in Hsin-Chu Science Park, Deloitte & Touche Taiwan, and several Taiwan-listed companies.
