Lawyer Overview

Michelle Lo has handled a broad range of banking and finance matters. She joined Jones Day in 2005 from a major city law firm with whom she practiced in London and Hong Kong. She has acted for lenders and borrowers in numerous secured and unsecured syndicated and single bank loan facilities in various countries, major banks in acquisition finance transactions and securitisation transactions, and borrowers and lenders in asset and project financings. She also advises corporations on banking regulations in Hong Kong and has advised a global merchandiser of industrial and agricultural raw materials on derivatives documentation. On the corporate side, Michelle has experience in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and advising clients on general corporate and commercial matters.

Michelle was born in Toronto and is fluent in English and Cantonese. She has some proficiency in Mandarin, French, and Japanese as well. She is a member of the Law Society of Hong Kong and the Law Society of England and Wales (non-practising).
