John Gore's practice focuses on appellate advocacy and complex trial litigation. He has substantial experience in class action defense, products liability law, federal jurisdiction and procedure, civil RICO, and administrative law. Clients John recently has represented include American Airlines, Nokia, and Verizon Wireless.
John's appellate representations include drafting a petition for a writ of certioriari, a brief in opposition to a petition for a writ of certiorari, and amicus briefs in the United States Supreme Court. John also has briefed cases in the United States Courts of Appeals for the Third, Sixth, Ninth, Eleventh, and District of Columbia Circuits.
At the trial level, John has been involved in formulating and coordinating pretrial and trial strategy for thousands of product liability cases against a major manufacturer in the state of Florida. He also has drafted countless dispositive and other motions in federal and state trial courts throughout the country.
John also maintains an active pro bono practice. He recently briefed, argued, and won a case under the Antiterrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act (AEDPA) in the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
