Lawyer Overview

Angus Falconer is a general commercial litigator with experience in a variety of contentious matters. He has acted for a range of clients including banks, large corporates, and individuals.

His dispute resolution experience includes:

• acting for a major international bank in its defence of a US$15m claim brought under the accounting provisions of a forward sale agreement that concerns the valuation of a portfolio of emerging market bonds and debt instruments traded under the agreement

• advising a national clothing retailer in a £1.7m Commercial Court breach of warranty claim arising out of a share sale agreement centered on whether the target company's accounts were true and accurate and showed a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the company and involved various commercial property valuation issues

• acting for a German exhibit manufacturing company in a High Court debt recovery matter that arose following default on payments that were due under multimillion dollar telecoms exhibition construction contracts and certain deeds of arrangement (the matter proceeded to trial) and

• advising on various breach of contract and breach of warranty matters.
