Stafford practices in the area of intellectual property litigation with an emphasis on patent and trade secret litigation. He has represented Texas Instruments, Motorola, Dell, Procter & Gamble, Verity Instruments, and Tokyo Electron Limited, among other clients, in various disputes. Since joining Jones Day, Stafford has represented clients in cases involving Internet technologies, semiconductor wafer inspection, profilometry, analog amplifiers, and cellular phones.

He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers.
