Adam Brown is a general commercial litigator with experience in complex litigation and arbitration claims, many with cross-border elements. He has acted for large corporates, banks, funds, and individuals advising on a range of contentious issues in various areas including: fraud, insurance, insolvency, restructuring, and employment issues.

His dispute resolution experience includes acting for:

• Langbar International Limited (the AIM-listed company wrongly believed to have assets in excess of $600m) on matters arising out of the fraud perpetrated on it

• Merlin Biosciences Limited in connection with a Serious Fraud Office (SFO) investigation

• a contractor in a £25m loss and expense claim concerning a major London office building

• an insurance policyholder in recovering (by way of arbitration) indemnified sums amounting to $5m wrongfully withheld by insurers

• a hedge fund in a claim against a former employee for conversion and infringement of intellectual property rights and damages for the breach of his duties of fidelity

• a major waste management company in a contractual and leasehold property forfeiture dispute and

• advising an investment fund on its strategic planning as a stakeholder within a substantial U.K. publicly quoted company undergoing restructuring.
