Lawyer Overview
Joseph represents employers in all aspects of labor and employment law. He has assisted Firm clients in a range of employment-related litigation, traditional labor matters, and compliance with various state and federal laws.
Joseph's practice also involves work in the Firm's privacy practice, with a focus on HR-related privacy and data security issues. He has assisted clients on compliance with domestic and international laws regarding the transfer of personal data, the development of data protection agreements for the transfer and sharing of sensitive personal information, and compliance with state data breach notification laws. His experience includes advising clients on the requirements under state privacy and data breach laws, U.S. Safe Harbor Principles, and the EU Data Protection Directive.
Joseph regularly contributes to Sam Estreicher and Steve Bennett's (Jones Day lawyers) continuing column "Arbitration," published in the New York Law Journal. Joseph is a member of the New York Bar Association.
