Maria Ankoudinova concentrates on cross-border M&A transactions and joint ventures involving Russia. Maria has represented international and Russian clients in a wide range of transactions and matters in such industries as oil and gas, retail, real estate development, manufacturing, and telecommunications. She provides clients with general corporate counseling and advises on Russian competition law matters.

Maria's most recent transactional experience includes representation of Altimo in its $23.8 billion transaction with Telenor to combine their respective holdings in VimpelCom and Kyivstar to create one of the largest emerging markets mobile operators and Eldorado Group in connection with the formation of the largest retail consumer electronics joint venture in Russia with PPF Group. Maria also assisted General Motors Company in securing Russian foreign investment and competition law clearance in connection with an acquisition by GM and debtor-in-possession lenders of Delphi Corporation in their acquisition of substantially all worldwide assets of Delphi.
