Lawyer Overview
Anthony Capobianco's practice focuses primarily on U.S. export control laws and economic sanctions, as well as trade litigation and government policy matters. In regards to export control laws and economic sanctions, Anthony provides firm clients with advice and representation before the U.S. Departments of State, Treasury, and Commerce. In the trade litigation arena, he has primarily participated in representing government clients in countervailing duty matters before the U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. International Trade Commission, and North American Free Trade Agreement dispute settlement panels.
Anthony has experience in advising firm clients in a wide range of regulatory matters related to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), the Export Administration Regulations, and the economic sanctions programs administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control. In this regard, his experience includes drafting technical assistance agreements and manufacturing license agreements, preparing license applications, and working with clients to obtain official advisory opinions from U.S. government agencies.
Prior to joining Hogan & Hartson, Anthony worked as a law clerk at the Office of the Air Force General Counsel at the Pentagon. In law school, Anthony was a member of the Catholic University of America Law Review.
