The lawyers and legal professionals in our Shanghai office have received their training and qualifications in the United States, China, and the United Kingdom. Our core team in China has represented multinational and Chinese clients engaged in a broad range of commercial transactions and regulatory issues since the 1980s. Among the particular strengths of our office are cross-border mergers and acquisitions; joint ventures and other investments; financings; infrastructure development and company restructurings; government regulation, with a significant focus on international trade; and intellectual property. As part of a fully-integrated international practice, our Shanghai office works closely with lawyers in our 26 other offices throughout the world, particularly those in our Beijing, Hong Kong, and Tokyo offices. Thus, Chinese assignments involving international trade matters or cross-border transactions and related regulatory issues benefit from the entire firms experience in these areas.
