Lawyer Overview

Mr. Scott joined the Law Office of Richard J. Breibart, LLC in November, 2006. He brings with him a wealth of experience in the areas of civil litigation and appellate practice.

After completing law school, Mr. Scott worked for two years as a law clerk to the Honorable Costa M. Pleicones at the South Carolina Supreme Court. Under the tutelage of Justice Pleicones, Mr. Scott honed his legal research and writing skills. Following his judicial clerkship, Mr. Scott entered private practice, working for four years with Richard Harpootlian in a two-lawyer firm. While employed by Mr. Harpootlian, Mr. Scott drafted virtually all of the firm's legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, legal memoranda, and all trial and appellate briefs.
