Lawyer Overview

Kirsten L. Koester is an associate working in both the Business and Employment and Labor Relations groups. She joined the firm in 2006.

Ms. Koester's practice focuses on a broad range of transactional business- and employment-related work for companies both emerging and established. She counsels clients in all areas of corporate formation and governance, licensing transactions, strategic partnerships, commercial agreements, employment contracts, regulatory compliance, and mergers and acquisitions. She is admitted to practice in Washington.

Prior to her career as an attorney, Ms. Koester worked in the Asset Management Group of Credit Suisse First Boston in New York City, where she oversaw the fund/client relations and reporting functions of the alternative investments investment program for high net worth individual and small institutional clients. She has significant experience with the negotiation and structuring of private equity transactions from early-stage venture capital to large-scale leveraged buyouts.

Ms. Koester is active with the Northwest Entrepreneur Network, the Washington Women Lawyers, the King County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, and the Washington Young Lawyers Division and is a member of the American Bar Association. As an alumna of the University of Washington School of Law, she routinely donates her time as a supervising attorney for that institution’s Entrepreneurial Law Clinic, a joint venture with the Foster School of Business, and serves annually as a professional mentor for first-year law students.
