Robin Hoberman Becker, J.D., President and founder of Solutions First, is an experienced mediator and licensed attorney. Ms. Hoberman Becker started Solutions First because, through her experiences as an attorney, she learned that often times litigation fails to meet the needs of the parties. Ms. Hoberman Becker has dedicated herself to heightening the public's awareness of mediation and how that process works. She has spoken on mediation to the Illinois Department of Transportation, the Magnetic Distributors and Fabricators Association, the Institute of Management Consultants, the Midwest Counsel of Professional Consultants, the Midwest Entrepreneurial Forum, and numerous Chambers of Commerce and Rotary Clubs. She has written several articles on the mediation process and has been interviewed on local radio.

A graduate of Tufts University and Chicago-Kent College of Law, Ms. Hoberman Becker earned a certificate in mediation from Columbia College. She currently is listed as a mediator for the United States Postal Service and as an arbitrator for the Cook County Arbitration Program, the Better Business Bureau, and the National Futures Association. Ms. Hoberman serves on the Professional Development Committee of the Society of Professionals in Dispute Resolution and is active in the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee of the Chicago Bar Association. She has arbitrated/mediated disputes in the areas of employment, partnership, contract, personal injury, and divorce law.

Her legal experience includes business, contract, real estate, civil rights, securities, employment, franchise, probate law, and divorce law. Ms. Hoberman is a member of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, the Midwest Society of Professional Consultants, and the Midwest Entrepreneurial Forum. She volunteers good deal of her time to the March of Dimes.
