Lawyer Overview

Peter Hawkins is an associate with Foley & Lardner. He is a member of the firm's IP Litigation and Trademark, Copyright & Advertising Practices.

Prior to joining Foley, Mr. Hawkins participated in the firm's summer associate program and attended the Franklin Pierce Law Center Intellectual Property Summer Institute. His work before law school includes a summer as a student research assistant at the University of Illinois and a summer as an engineering intern with PPG Industries in Mt. Zion, Ill.

Mr. Hawkins received his bachelor's degree in materials science and engineering with honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2003 and his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School in 2006. During law school he served as the notes editor for The Michigan Telecommunications and Technology Law Review.

He is admitted to practice in the state of Illinois.
