Lawyer Overview
Thomas Karacic has been practicing law since 1956, primarily as a litigator. His trial experience includes Circuit Court, Appellate Court and Supreme Court cases. Mr. Karacic's representation has resulted in landmark decisions in both the Illinois Supreme Court and the United States Supreme Court in matters dealing with divorce, personal injury and religious/non-profit issues. He is a recipient of a Certificate of Appreciation award from the Chicago Bar Association for his work as a trial lawyer.
Mr. Karacic's clientele is diverse and ranges from publicly traded corporations to individuals. Recently, Mr. Karacic has been applying his vast experience to business and corporate law issues, handling cases involving partnership dissolutions, interpretation of business agreements and contracts, and real estate disputes.
After serving with the United States Army Judge Advocate General's Corps, Mr. Karacic entered private practice as an associate of Edwin M. Katz and later founded Katz & Karacic. The firm eventually combined with the predecessor firms of Stahl Cowen Crowley.
