Ms. Hogan is a former Assistant United States Attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice, Corporate Counsel BellSouth Corporation; and trial attorney with the law firm of Hughes Hubbard & Reed.

She is a member of The Florida Bar and the American Bar Association. She serves as an adjunct professor of Business Law at the University of Miami and is the former president of National Bar Association Women Lawyers Division and Board member of the Dade County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, and Gubernatorial appointee to the Florida Supreme Court Judicial Nominating Commission.

In her community, Ms. Hogan is Vice Chair of the Miami-Dade County Educational Facilities Bond Authority, Board Member of the Girl Scouts Council of Tropical Florida, Young Patronesses of the Florida Grand Opera, National Arthritis Foundation, and Donors Forum of South Florida. She is the  Immediate Past President of The Links, Incorporated Dade County Chapter and a member of the Harvard Club of Miami Schools Committee.

Ms. Hogan has successfully established precedential contract and tort immunity for independent government contractors; litigated the landmark action by the federal government against the state of Florida to enforce water quality laws to protect the Florida Everglades National Park and restoration efforts; litigated the first successful defense of the federal government in offshore dredging for coastal restoration projects; successfully represented automotive dealerships in acquisition, termination and consumer actions; conducts white collar defense; and advises non-profits,  governments,  and corporations in the areas of public and private partnerships and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
