Lawyer Overview
Tamar Yudenfreund has extensive experience in complex commercial and business litigation. She worked at a large law firm in New York City from 2003 to 2007 before joining Jones Day. Tamar has represented clients in a wide variety of litigation fields, including white-collar criminal defense, labor and employment, health care, products liability, and securities litigation. She also is lead counsel in multiple cases in federal courts throughout the nation involving disputes under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Tamar has spent a significant amount of time working on a range of pro bono matters. This includes representing tenants in disputes with their landlords in conjunction with the Public Law Center and the Legal Aid Society. Tamar has successfully represented pro bono clients against the elimination of housing benefits provided by the New York City Housing Authority. In addition, she has filed an amicus brief in connection with a Guantanamo Bay detainee case and is a recipient of the Southern Center for Human Rights' Frederick Douglass Human Rights Award for her work on that case. Tamar is also a member of the Pro Bono Committee of the Orange County Bar Association.
