Along with being an attorney, I am also an ordained minister and television legal expert for KARK-TV in Little Rock, where I present a legal segment entitled "The Law and You" on KARK Today every Monday morning at 6:36 a.m. On that program, anchor Melissa Simas interviews me about various legal topics of interest to Arkansans.

I am also a member, lay minister and intercessor at Covenant Faith Praise and Worship Center in Sherwood, Arkansas, where James and Brenda Jefferson are pastors.

I obtained my Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in August, 1986, and began practicing law in April 1987. I am also currently completing requirements to obtain my MBA from Harding University in Searcy and graduated from the Agape School of World Evangelism in 2001.

I was born in Chicago and grew up in Benton, Arkansas, where I attended Westside Junior High and was a cheerleader. I was named outstanding English student, outstanding art student, and outstanding science student. I also won first place in the state science fair in the Junior High Microbiology Division. I graduated from Benton High school, where I was on the honor roll, in school choir, and editor of the school newspaper. I was named Editor of the Year, Division II, by the Arkansas High School Press Association.

I became interested in law during my senior year at Ouachita Baptist University, where I graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology and minor in history and political science. I was named to the President's List, Dean's List, and National Dean's List, and was a recipient of the OBU Student Foundation Scholarship for Academic Achievement. I was also staff writer for the OBU News Bureau and editorial writer for the college newspaper. I received a 3rd place award for editorial writing among Arkansas Colleges and Universities, and was also vice president of the Student Senate. While in college, I received a summer news internship at both the Arkansas Gazette and television station KTHV-11.

While attending law school, I was an investigative reporter for the Arkansas Democrat. I received a Distinguished Service Award from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Journalism Department for a 10-part series about my investigation of the state's child welfare system written for that newspaper.

I began practicing law in April, 1987, and hosted weekly reports on legal issues, entitled The Law and You, on local radio station KARN 920 AM. I was also a host of the talk show Reece's Dialogue on Comcast Cable in Little Rock, and have appeared as legal expert on Arkansas Today with Beth Ward and Today's THV News.

In 1990, I was nominated as the Democratic candidate for the Arkansas House of Representatives in West Little Rock. I was a former state committee representative for the Pulaski County Young Democrats, and am a former member of the Pulaski County Democratic committee.

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, working out at the gym, shopping, and reading on a wide variety of topics, including leadership, management, business, motivation, health and nutrition, world affairs, and personal growth. I also love oil painting, music, nature, art, animals, architecture, interior design and learning in general. For a good laugh, I also enjoy watching old Jackie Chan movies and playing with my four dogs and parrot.
