Lawyer Overview
Frédéric Gros is head of the Paris Office's banking & finance practice, and he focuses on the areas of real estate, asset, and acquisition financing as well as debt restructuring.
Frédéric advises international and French clients, primarily banking institutions, investment funds, and industrial and commercial companies in connection with their banking and investment financing transactions. For several years now he also has been advising the French Ministry of Finance on financing plans and other accompanying measures implemented by the state relating to distressed companies. He has participated in the French interministerial task force dedicated to the introduction of the trust concept in France and has been a member of the CNC's committee (French national accounting committee) in charge of the regulation of the accounting aspects of the French trust.
Frédéric started his career in 1990 at the legal department of Crédit Lyonnais and then practiced in the international law firms Ashurst Morris Crisp, Clifford Chance, and Salans before joining Jones Day in October 2008.
