Business Acquisitions, financing and sales

We represented Hornet Capital, LLC, an investment company, in acquiring North Carolina company, World Class Catamarans from its former owner in an insolvency situation. We handled the financing, the real estate and also all aspects of dealing with the creditors of the former owners. We avoided the need for any bankruptcy proceedings and concluded the entire transaction in less than sixty days.

We represented the developers of Rivers Edge Apartments in the development and sale of the complex. We were later hired by the buyer, and still continue to represent the buyer, in Landlord/Tenant matters. We represented People’s Food Cooperative in the acquisition of a neighboring property for expansion for a reduced fee, and obtained title insurance at a reduced cost.

We assisted several businessmen in the purchase of a business now known as Rotochopper, Inc., including the transfer and licensing of intellectual property.

We represented the developers of Cedar Creek Golf Course in the purchase and development of the property and associated residential lots in a Planned Urban Development and the later sale of the golf course.

We represented Lexington Steel Corporation in connection with its acquisition of a competitor in Los Angeles. As in our engagement for Hornet Capital, we assisted in connection with the real estate, the financing and all aspects of dealings with creditors of the former owners, again avoiding any contact with the bankruptcy court.

We routinely advise entrepreneurs in the organization of their businesses, and establish corporations, limited liability companies or partnerships as appropriate. After organizing the business, we often become valued counselors for the business as it continues to grow.

Successful plans of reorganization

We represent people and businesses in all aspects of financial matters. Often this involves the utilization of bankruptcy relief.

We have assisted innumerable consumers in obtaining relief from their debts in chapter 7 and chapter 13.

We have confirmed numerous chapter 11 plans of reorganization, allowing debtors to restructure their financial affairs over a period of time.

We have assisted debtors in facilitating an orderly liquidation of their businesses, outside of bankruptcy, when the need arises, often resulting in the preservation of their personal assets.
