Prior to his legal career, Mr. Baik spent seven years as an engineer, designing software in the telecommunications and defense sectors. Most recently, he was a software engineer with IBM Global Services, where he developed and tested interactive web application/software for data network management systems. Previously, he worked with AT&T Research Laboratory to design object-oriented application/software for AT&T data communication systems. From 1995-1999, he was an electrical engineer with Raytheon Systems Company, where he developed and tested control software for weapons systems, including: Mk-41, Mk-48 Vertical Missile Launching System (VMLS), Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile (ESSM) Launching System, Relocatable Over The Horizon Radar (ROTHR) System, and Tri-band (T3) Mobile Satellite Communications System. He has also supported live missile firing tests at sea for Mk-48 VMLS.
