Mr. Baik has experience in all aspects of patent litigation, including federal district court cases and International Trade Commission (ITC) actions. Mr. Baik’s recent patent litigations involved technologies such as cellular telephone and wireless devices, non-volatile computer memory, microprocessors, and image processing systems.

Mr. Baik is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) of electrical engineering in State of New York. He has passed both Fundamentals of Engineering (FE/EIT) and Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) examinations, and his engineering practice has been verified and approved for registration by the Professional Licensing Service Committee of the NYS Board for Engineering and Land Surveying.

Prior to his legal career, Mr. Baik spent seven years as an engineer, designing and developing software in the telecommunications and defense sectors. Most recently, he was a software engineer at IBM Global Services, where he developed interactive web application/software. Previously, he worked at AT&T Research Laboratory, where he developed object-oriented application/software. From 1995-1999, he was an electrical engineer with Raytheon Systems Company, where he developed and tested control software for weapons systems, including: Mk-41 and Mk-48 Vertical Missile Launching System (VMLS), Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile (ESSM) Launching System, Relocatable Over The Horizon Radar (ROTHR) System, and Tri-band (T3) Mobile Satellite Communications System. He has also supported live missile firing tests at sea for Mk-48 VMLS.

While in law school, Mr. Baik was a judicial intern to the Chamber of Justice Richard B. Lowe III at the Commercial Division of the New York State Supreme Court.
