Mr. Thill's prosecution and litigation experience includes wired and wireless communications systems, analog and digital electronics, networking and internet technologies, computer architecture, applied physics, and medical devices and systems. Mr. Thill's extensive background in engineering enables him to work effectively with clients in a wide range of technologies and design disciplines.

Before joining Foley, Mr. Thill was an attorney with Heller Ehrman LLP. Prior to his legal career, Mr. Thill was the director of engineering operations at Teledyne Ryan Electronics and the vice president of engineering at the Systron Donner Division of Signal Technology.

Mr. Thill received his J.D. from the California Western School of Law. He received his M.S.E.E. from Santa Clara University and his B.S.E.E. from Stanford University.

Mr. Thill is a member of the American Bar Association, Intellectual Property Law Section of the California Bar, American Intellectual Property Law Association, Silicon Valley Intellectual Property Law Association, San Diego Intellectual Property Law Association, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.

Mr. Thill is admitted to practice in California and before the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of California, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
