Law Firm Overview

I received my BS degree in physics and an MS in science education from the State University of New York at New Paltz. I received my JD with honors from Drake University Law school in Des Moines Iowa.

I work as an intellectual property associate with the law firm of Ostrolenk, Farber, Gerb & Soffen in Manhattan. I worked on a wide variety of mechanical, electrical, computer and Internet patents while at Ostrolenk. Some representative clients included Chase, Olympus, Fuji Electric, Mitsubishi Motors and International Rectifier. I'm admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and a member of the New York State Bar. I am admitted to practice in Federal Court in both the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. (I am not admitted in the state of Iowa.)

I worked in a research laboratory on several industry sponsored programs designing and building thin film quantum display devices. I taught physics both in high school and college. I was a consultant with IBM helping to integrate technology into the classroom. I have also worked with major corporations as Texaco and International Paper to develop linkages between industry and education.

I founded Patwrite with the private inventor and small business in mind. We are dedicated to meeting the needs of people who may have been unable to obtain quality intellectual property services because they were either intimidated by the traditional intellectual property law firm or because of cost.
