Ms. Caton is a founding member of POSKUS, CATON & KLEIN, P.C. and practices in the areas of elder law, including estate litigation, estate planning, disability planning, public benefits, probate, wills and trusts, guardianships and protective proceedings, and mental health and disabilities.

Prior to developing her practice in elder law, Ms. Caton gained valuable litigation experience with an AV rated Denver firm and with New Mexico 's Ninth Judicial District Attorneys Office. She also served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable David W. Bonem in New Mexico 's Ninth Judicial District.

Ms. Caton is licensed to practice in the State of Colorado , the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, the State of New Mexico and the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico.

Ms. Caton is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, American Bar Association, Colorado Bar Association, New Mexico Bar Association, Douglas County Bar Association and Phi Delta Phi.

Ms. Caton graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 1998. While there, she completed an externship with New Mexico 's Ninth Judicial District and graduated with honors.

Prior to law school, Ms. Caton graduated summa cum laude from North Carolina Wesleyan with a Bachelor of Arts in Justice and Public Policy and a minor in psychology. As an undergraduate, she completed a legal internship with the United States Air Force Area Defense Counsel and a psychology internship with the Wayne County Mental Health Center .

Ms. Caton continually strives to serve the public. She provides service to the community through the Denver Probate Court pro se clinic, Colorado Lawyer for the Arts program, the Alzheimer's Association and the Colorado Diabetes Network.  She also has served on the Board of Directors of Big Brothers/Big Sisters and Youth Opportunities Unlimited.
