Williams has enjoyed a celebrated and controversial legal career defending a wide variety of citizens against criminal charges and by fighting for their civil rights. His  criminal defense career includes the Lorne Acquin mass murder cases in Prospect, Connecticut, and members of the Black Liberation Army and Los Macheteros. In 40 years of legal experience, he has argued thousands of cases in state and federal court and argued before the United States Supreme Court.
