Ben Gordon received his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from the University of West Florida in 1988, and his law degree from Cumberland School of Law, with honors, in 1990.  As an Associate Editor of the Law Review, Ben authored a case note that was published by the Cumberland Law Review.  As a member of Cumberland's Trial Advocacy Board, he was appointed as Director of the Senior Trial Competition for Cumberland.  He served as a student class representative as a 1L and 2L, and was awarded a Cordell Hull Teaching Fellowship as a 2L and a 3L to train new law students in Legal Research and Writing.
 
Mr. Gordon is licensed to practice law before all state and federal courts in Alabama and Florida, and also the United States Court of Military Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.  He served as Staff Attorney for the Eleventh Circuit where he was appointed to the Honorable Judge Joel F. Dubina.  He has also worked as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, Georgia, and was appointed as a First Lieutenant in the Army JAGS CORPS (Reserves) after completing law school.
 
Mr. Gordon joined the Levin Papantonio law firm in its Mass Tort Department in 1993, and tried a number of mass tort cases with Mike Papantonio.  Mr. Gordon became a partner in 1997.  While continuing to consult with Levin Papantonio, Ben opened his own law firm in 1999, and has continued to limit his practice to the representation of plaintiffs, primarily those injured by defective devices or drugs.  Mr. Gordon is the author of several published articles concerning medical and legal aspects of failed products such as Silicone Gel Breast Implants and dangerous drugs like fen-phen.  He has worked on a variety of other mass tort projects including Rezulin, Ephedra, Sulzer Implants, Renu Contact Lens, and Avandia litigation.  He works in an Of Counsel capacity to the Levin Papantonio law firm in its Mass Tort Department.
