Troy's practice encompasses all areas of intellectual property litigation, with a primary focus in the area of patent litigation. Troy has represented clients in patent infringement suits in federal district courts across the United states. He has also gained experience in the area of appellate litigation.

Troy is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Troy earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he served as an Articles Editor for the Vanderbilt Law Review. He received his B.A. in History and Political Science, summa cum laude, from Birmingham-Southern College.

Prior to joining the firm, Troy clerked for the Honorable Julie E. Carnes of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
