The Law Offices of Alan M. Liebowitz were established in 1999, concentrating on criminal defense, personal injury and workers' compensation cases, as well as other civil litigation in State and Federal Courts. Prior to opening his own offices, Mr. Liebowitz worked for 10 years in his family firm specializing in personal injury and workers compensation matters and handled matrimonial and other civil litigation.

  Civil contempt sanctions are not punitive and therfore not subject to the penal exception of the full faith and credit clause of the US Constitution.
• Wei vs Wei, 248 N.J.Super. 572 (App. Div. 1991)
  Established that although remarried, a husbands' primary obligations is his first family.
• Vitrano vs. Schiffman, 305 N.J.Super. 572 (App. Div. 1997)
  Doctors in a medical malpractice claim may offer an expert opinion before a jury based on facts not in medical records.
• State of New Jersey vs. Sotomayor (unpublished, App. Div. 2007)
  An accused has the constitutional right to cross examine the the alleged victim about dismissal of charges against the witness to show bias.
