Lawyer Overview

Gregory W. Harper was born in Mission Viejo, California.  He received a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering Systems with a concentration in Nuclear Engineering from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in 1997 and a Juris Doctor degree from American University in 2004.  Mr. Harper is admitted to practice in New York and is registered to practice before the Patent and Trademark Office.  He is a member of the New York State Bar Association.

Prior to law school, Mr. Harper worked as an engineer for a defense contractor designing and analyzing auxiliary systems for naval combatants.  Mr. Harper also spent two years as an engineering officer aboard merchant vessels.  While completing his legal education, he worked as a patent agent at an Arlington, Virginia firm specializing in patent prosecution of electromechanical applications.
