Lawyer Overview

Chris Palamountain specializes in complex litigation, including class action and multidistrict litigation. Following her clerkship, she was awarded a Skadden Fellowship at the National Center for Youth Law, where she participated in class action litigation and was recognized as a national authority in disability standards for children and laws regarding fair housing for families. After her fellowship, Chris continued with public interest work, including high-level appellate advocacy at the ACLU Immigrants' Rights Project and class action trial court litigation against governmental and corporate entities on behalf of consumers, workers, and small businesses.

Chris was later appointed to the San Francisco Redevelopment Commission, a citizens oversight board for a public agency making land use decisions for designated zones in San Francisco, and which owned multiple properties utilized for affordable housing. She served on the commission for five years, including one year as vice president.

Before joining Jones Day, Chris was a partner at Chavez & Gertler LLP in Marin County, California.
