Howard R. King is board certified trial lawyer. Mr. King has tried a wide variety of complex civil litigation in state and federal courts throughout Texas involving tortious interference with business relations, business disparagement, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, director and officer liability, commercial torts, deceptive trade practices, minority shareholder oppression, insurance bad faith, products liability, contracts, and maritime claims. Mr. King has received an AV rating in Martindale Hubbell from his peers.

Mr. King received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas in 1979, and he received his law degree from the University of Houston in 1982. He is the first member of his family to obtain a college degree. He was first certified as a specialist in Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in 1993. He was recertified in both specialties in 1998, 2003 and 2008.

Mr. King is a tenacious advocate for his clients. He has a passion for the truth and justice. He has successfully tried a significant number of civil cases to verdict or judgment in state and federal courts. He has handled numerous arbitrations to successful conclusions, and he has prevailed in appeals before state and federal courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. King is equally comfortable representing entrepreneurs, small companies, medium-sized corporations or large corporate entities. He is adept at evaluating the facts, recognizing the issues, and solving his clients’ problems in a broad range of situations on both sides of the docket.
