Law Firm Overview

The law firm began its practice in 1950 in White Plains, New York, under the firm name of King Edwards & O'Connor, Esqs. Since that time, the firm has grown significantly and now practices in all areas of civil litigation, including Medical Malpractice Litigation, Premises Liability, Civil Rights Litigation, Municipal and School Liability, Legal Malpractice Litigation, Products Liability, Toxic Tort Litigation, Lead Paint Liability, and Automobile Liability, as well as other general practice areas.

Out attorneys have appeared throughout New York State's Ninth Judicial District, which includes the Counties of Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Rockland and Orange, as well as in New York County, Bronx County, Queens County, Kings County, Nassau County, Suffolk County, Staten Island, Sullivan County, Ulster County and the Federal Court System in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of Connecticut, Connecticut Superior Courts (Stamford, Norwalk, Bridgeport, Danbury).

The firm acts as supervisory and advisory counsel for cases nationwide assisting local trial counsel, providing assistance in the effective preparation and defense of cases, case evaluation, case management, evaluation of potential adverse verdict value, witness preparation and selection of appropriate trial experts.

Several of the firm members are associated with prestigious defense litigation associations, including the International Association of Defense Counsel, the Defense Research Institute and the Federation of Insurance Corporate Counsel.

The firm's practice and client communication is assisted through a state of the art computer system, including local and wide area networking, with legal software for effective case management, conflicts determination, litigation docket, professional time and billing with the capability to provide electronic invoicing where requested and complete in-house computer assisted research facilities.
