Ms. Berrent has a broad-based practice focused on corporate and securities law matters. She has represented clients in connection with a diverse range of matters, including formation and governance issues, venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, royalty and revenue sales, private equity transactions and initial public offerings and other public securities offerings. She also provides general corporate advice to public and private companies.

Ms. Berrent has been working with emerging companies in particular for over 15 years and is focused on serving as trusted advisor to entrepreneurs and the NYC entrepreneurial community. Prior to joining WilmerHale, Ms. Berrent served as the Associate General Counsel of Longitude, a start-up company that developed a derivatives trading platform and was acquired by Goldman Sachs. Before law school, she was a strategy consultant at The Parthenon Group and worked in the Strategic Planning Group at American Express. She uses her business background to provide practical legal advice to her clients.

Community Involvement

Ms. Berrent represents pro bono client, Harambee For All Children, an organization that improves the quality of education in resource poor settings through creative partnerships with communities and governments.
