Lawyer Overview
Andreas Nelle's practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and privatizations. He has extensive experience in the areas of technology, media, and telecommunications, and in planning, negotiating, and executing international transactions.
Andreas has extensive experience advising listed companies and their investors regarding corporate law and capital markets regulations. Key mandates include advising Saban Capital Group regarding all capital markets/takeover law aspects of the investment in ProSiebenSat.1 and Munich-based Paragon partners regarding several buyout transactions.
Prior to joining Hogan & Hartson, Andreas served as an attorney for a major German law firm. He also previously served as a business strategy consultant with both an international consulting group and a Munich-based boutique firm focusing on technology, media, and telecommunications. He has published books on the renegotiation of long-term contracts and on international civil litigation, as well as articles in the field of corporate law and on mediation. After studying law for a year in Paris, Andreas obtained a French licence en droit. He has also obtained a Master of Public Administration as a John J. McCloy fellow at Harvard University.
Andreas serves as a professor at Humboldt-University (Berlin) teaching courses on takeover law and M&A and as a lecturer at the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland).
