John M. Comiskey has extensive litigation experience in commercial, insurance and employment related litigation. He represents construction managers, general contractors and subcontractors in litigation involving construction contract disputes, Lien Law claims, insurance coverage disputes and construction site liability claims. Mr. Comiskey has engaged in a wide range of litigation, including insurance coverage litigation and the defense of toxic tort claims, premises liability claims, construction site liability claims, legal malpractice claims and products liability claims. He has also defended employers against employment discrimination and wrongful termination claims.
Additionally, Mr. Comiskey successfully represented a now-retired professional athlete in litigation involving a dispute over ownership of trophies and medals won during her career.
For the past several years, Mr. Comiskey has served as a volunteer judge for several legal writing professors at Hofstra Law School critiquing oral arguments presented by law students taking the Appellate Advocacy class. Additionally, he is also an Alumni Admissions Volunteer for his alma mater, Boston College, and serves as an alumni representative of Boston College to several Nassau County high schools.
