Bill Corbin is a partner in the firm's Public Finance group where he represents clients as bond counsel, underwriter's counsel, borrower's counsel and issuer's counsel on a wide variety of public finance transactions, including enterprise revenue, general obligation, lease-supported, advance refunding, airport, housing and cash flow financings for municipalities, school districts and other units of local government and special districts. Over the years of his practice he has completed financings for the State of Illinois, the City of Chicago, the Board of Education of the City of Chicago and Cook County. He has also handled revenue bond financings for both public and private nonprofit institutions of higher education, student loan revenue financings, tax-exempt financings for not-for-profit cultural institutions and financings for special facilities, such as airports. Bill has also represented governmental entities and not-for-profit borrowers in negotiating interest rate swaps and other derivative transactions. He is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers (NABL) and has given presentations to public finance market participants and served as a panelist in seminars on various topics in municipal finance.
