The practice focus of Hardin, Kundla, McKeon & Poletto has been forged from a pragmatic appreciation of the realities of litigation. Our approach to the practice of law is based on our acute sensitivity to the practicalities of litigation - the purposes it serves and the ways in which it must be conducted - in order to achieve desired results for the benefit of our clients.

Litigation is the true proving ground of legal counsel and services. It is the philosophy of our firm that, in any legal dispute, one should be prepared to pursue litigation to its conclusion. However, focus and deference to the clients' interests and objectives must be maintained to provide a balanced view of litigation. We recognize and appreciate that the best interests of the client are served by early recommendations for compromise resolution of the dispute, where appropriate.

Our advice and counsel in commercial and other areas is informed by an understanding of the implications of litigation. We have seen how transactional matters may result in litigation. We have also seen how strength or weakness of position can be maneuvered to obtain a desired result. We believe this pragmatic perspective results in better guidance and counseling.

Insurance Practice

Hardin, Kundla, McKeon & Poletto is well established in the insurance industry as litigation counsel. For many years, insurance defense has served as the foundation of our continuing trial practice. Much of our growth is directly attributable to our reputation in this area, which has provided us with comprehensive trial and appellate experience before state and federal courts and administrative agencies. We take pride that among our clients are insurance companies that have elected to retain attorneys of our firm on a continuing basis for more than twenty years.

Capacity and Posture in the Legal Community

Hardin, Kundla, McKeon & Poletto currently consists of forty-six (46) attorneys, forty-one (41) of whom are dedicated to litigation. This capacity rivals or exceeds the size of litigation departments in larger transactional firms.

The diverse litigation experiences of our attorneys provide the foundation for our ability to respond to both routine and major, complex matters involving a very wide spectrum of concerns.

Hardin, Kundla, McKeon & Poletto takes seriously its responsibility for each client's file. While one or more associates may work with a partner, the partner maintains primary responsibility to assure that the client benefits from the firm's experience and efficient management of the litigation.
