Lawyer Overview
Michael Earley practices corporate law with a focus on corporate finance and fund formation. His corporate finance experience includes the representation of issuers and underwriters in domestic and international private placements and public offerings of debt and equity securities. Michael recently worked on securities offerings for Atlas Energy Resources, Atlas Pipeline Partners, Emcore Corporation, OGE Energy and its utility subsidiaries, and Xcel Energy and its utility subsidiaries. He is also often called upon to provide advice to his clients regarding corporate governance, commercial agreements, and other day-to-day matters.
In addition, Michael represents sponsors in real estate and private equity fund formations. His experience includes advising not only established investment management firms but also new sponsors with respect to the formation and structuring of opportunity funds, value-added funds, pan-European funds, and product and geographically focused funds. Michael has recently worked on funds sponsored by Capmark Investments, Resolution Real Estate, and RLJ Development.
Prior to attending law school, Michael worked for Lehman Brothers. He is a member of The Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association.
