Lawyer Overview

Farrell A. Hochmuth joined the Houston office of Baker Hostetler in November 2003. She assists in a wide variety of business and commercial litigation matters focusing on the defense of clients in civil matters including complex civil litigation, contract disputes, admiralty, energy and environmental law.

Ms. Hochmuth has appeared in state and federal court, participated as third chair in a breach of contract and bad faith pooling jury trial in which the team obtained a full defense verdict for an oil and gas company, and recently litigated a breach of contract/warranty case before the AAA. Ms. Hochmuth's practice also focuses on advising businesses on regulatory compliance and enforcement issues relating to air, water and waste.

In 1998, Ms. Hochmuth was selected as a United States Fulbright Scholar, and completed her thesis on indigenous agriculture in Zimbabwe, Africa. She also participated in a law study abroad program in Bangkok, Thailand, in 2001.

Ms. Hochmuth is a member of the Texas Bar Association, the Houston Bar Association, Environmental Section and the Texas Young Lawyers Association.
