Lauane Addis concentrates his practice in corporate and real estate transactions. Lauane also provides estate and tax planning services.

Lauane serves as general corporate counsel to several clients in the real estate, biotechnology, travel, radio and television, food processing, manufacturing, and medical industries. As general corporate counsel, Lauane provides consulting and advisory services in several areas of business law including employment, business practices, securities, finance, and succession planning. Prior to becoming a member of the firm, Lauane served as in-house counsel and chief financial officer for a small public company for seven years. As a result, Lauane is able to focus on the needs of his business clients through their eyes.

He has served as legal counsel in several acquisitions and mergers, both representing sellers and buyers of businesses as well as various parties to corporate, partnership and limited liability company reorganizations. Lauane has helped finance several business operations through public, private and debt financing arrangements, including public offerings and private placements. He has also prepared and reviewed documents for secured commercial loans on behalf of private and commercial lenders, and has negotiated documented loan reorganizations on behalf of borrowers and lenders.

In the area of real estate transactions, Lauane has represented both purchasers and sellers of commercial real estate. Lauane has represented clients in the acquisition of industrial properties, apartments, nightclubs, retail malls, and several mixed use properties both for use in the client's business and as investments. Lauane has negotiated and prepared leases for all types of real estate, easement and license agreements, operating and joint venture agreements, financing documents, and subdividers agreements for residential developments. Lauane has also been instrumental in obtaining entitlements and public financing for his clients' developments.

In addition to wills and trusts, Lauane has significant experience in organizing family partnerships and limited liability companies, succession planning using employee and non-employee stock option plans and shareholder agreements, retirement planning, charitable gifting, and disability planning.
