My legal and educational experience provide the foundation to resolve matters favorably for my clients. Having been an educator for over twenty years, I apply that body of knowledge to education law matters. My successful negotiations with school districts and private schools result in the best educational settings for children. Although I make every effort to settle matters through negotiation, I will proceed to administrative hearings, including due process hearings, and even trial, when necessary.

Quite often parents and guardians will attempt to negotiate educational issues themselves, not fully realizing the rights that are available to them or the school's responsibilities. I empower parents to proceed with confidence. Sometimes, parents and guardians simply want someone to review documents, such as an Individual Education Program (IEP), evaluation reports, or settlement contracts. Other times, they need my advocacy as I accompany them to informal or formal school meetings, such as Child Study Team Meetings, IEP Meetings, and matters involving suspension and expulsion. My clients have expressed to me that my representation provides both legal counsel as well as educational consulting.
