Heath Brooks is a senior associate in the firm's Litigation/Controversy Department. He originally joined the firm in 2003, returning in 2006 following a clerkship with the Honorable Alice M. Batchelder of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. 

Practice

Mr. Brooks's current practice covers a wide range of complex commercial litigation, focusing on intellectual property litigation. He recently represented Broadcom Corporation at a trial in the Central District of California in which a jury found that Qualcomm Incorporated had willfully infringed three of Broadcom's patents.

Mr. Brooks also has extensive experience in financial services litigation. He has represented clients in federal ERISA and state breach of fiduciary duty class action matters, as well as a private equity firm in an arbitration dispute involving one of its former partners.

Mr. Brooks has also represented clients in various appellate courts, including the United States Supreme Court.
