Lawyer Overview

Kelli has experience in a variety of general litigation matters in federal and state courts. Her practice includes product liability, automobile dealer, ERISA, and bankruptcy litigation; class action litigation; and general business litigation. Kelli has represented or is currently representing clients in a toxic tort product liability case in which it was alleged that a chemical workplace exposure resulted in birth defects in an employee's offspring, cases involving smoking and health claims in federal and state courts, a case brought on behalf of an employee benefits plan against corporate officers and directors, and adversary proceedings in the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts. She has experience with numerous aspects of pretrial, discovery, and motion practice in various jurisdictions, including drafting motions to dismiss, summary judgment motions, motions in limine, and Daubert motions as well as coordination of expert reports and privilege logs. She has taken and defended several depositions of fact and expert witnesses. In 2005, Kelli was an active member of the trial team in Rose v. American Tobacco Co., et al. in state court in Manhattan, in which the jury returned a verdict in favor of R.J. Reynolds. Kelli assisted in many aspects of the trial preparation in that case, including the preparation of direct and cross-examinations of expert witnesses.

Kelli has represented such clients as the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, General Motors Corporation, Abbott Laboratories, American Electric Power, and Cardinal Health. She is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Columbus Bar Association.
