Fernando Lillo's practice concentrates on Spanish electricity and infrastructure markets and related areas of lending and structured financing as well as general counseling, in particular in project finance.

Fernando has broad experience with structured financing of renewable energy projects (wind parks, mini hydraulic, biomass, cogeneration, solar, and thermal plants) and infrastructure projects (toll roads, highways, parking lots, and hotels, among others), including administrative concessions. His experience encompasses all types of credit, loans, and securities in project, corporate, acquisition, and asset financing.

Representative clients in recent public matters include the following financial institutions:  Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, S.A. (BBVA); Banco Español de Crédito, S.A. (Banesto); Banco Santander, S.A.; Bank of Scotland, plc.; Caixa D'Estalvis I Pensions de Barcelona (la Caixa); Espírito Santo Investment, plc.; and Instituto de Crédito Oficial (ICO). In addition, he advises local and international promoters in the renewable energy sector on acquisitions and project finance.
