Alyssa Cunningham is an associate in the firm's Health Care Department. Alyssa advises a variety of health care providers on regulatory, compliance and operational issues, including licensure; reimbursement; Medicare and Medicaid; patient care; corporate compliance; fraud and abuse; and privacy, including HIPAA. She also advises health care and research organizations and research sponsors on clinical research regulation and compliance.

Alyssa's practice also focuses on advising independent schools and institutions of higher education on student privacy issues (including FERPA), policies and procedures, governance, and regulatory compliance, and a variety of non-profit tax-exempt organizations on corporate governance and federal and state tax exemption matters. In addition, Alyssa counsels clients from a variety of industries on State ethics laws affecting state contractors and lobbyists.

Alyssa received her B.A. in Geology cum laude from Skidmore College, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and her J.D. cum laude from Albany Law School of Union University, where she was the Managing Editor of Lead Articles for the Albany Law Journal of Science and Technology.
