Lawyer Overview

Anthony has practiced both in the United States and Japan, and his practice encompasses a broad range of cross-border corporate matters relating to larger corporate transactions including acquisitions and joint ventures as well as the counseling of emerging technology companies.

Anthony's experience in Japan also includes working with major Japanese, U.S., and European companies in connection with a wide variety of international transactions including project finance, stock and asset purchases, joint ventures, the international sale of goods, venture capital investments, and related commercial matters in the energy, health care, and semiconductors industries, among others.

Prior to relocating to Tokyo, Anthony worked in Palo Alto, California where he counseled Japanese corporations on matters related to their local U.S. operations and their investments and relations with emerging technology companies. He also regularly counseled emerging technology companies in Silicon Valley regarding the formation and establishment of business entities, intellectual property protection, operations, corporate governance, the issuance of stock options and employee incentive plans, venture capital, and strategic financing and other related corporate matters.

At the start of his career, Anthony worked in Japan with the Yokohama city government, where he gained an in-depth knowledge of Japanese business practices and the language.
