Lawyer Overview

My practice focuses on helping clients protect their investment in products and innovations. This includes protecting their own intellectual property as well as recognizing and limiting their intellectual property risks.

My work entails protecting intellectual property and prosecuting patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, as well as counseling clients on managing their IP risks and assets. I have significant experience in prosecuting patents before the United States Patent and Trademark Office in a wide variety of technologies. I advise clients regarding intellectual property infringement matters, including design around analyses, product modifications, and changes in procedures. In addition to advising clients on the applicability of third party patents, I also provide non-infringement opinions and invalidity opinions for applicable claims. I have extensive experience counseling clients in evaluating IP portfolios of competitors, and in actively pursuing technologies clear of those portfolios. Additionally, my practice includes working with foreign counsel to prosecute patents outside of the United States when necessary.
